Sonically, this remaster brings new life to the record. Tony Martin’s debut vocals, often buried in the murky mix of earlier releases, now cut through with operatic power and precision. Tracks like “The Shining” and “Born to Lose” hit harder, revealing layers of texture that were muddied in previous editions. The low end has been tightened, giving Bob Daisley’sbasslines a more defined presence, and Eric Singer’s drumming snaps with an almost live energy.

Tony Iommi’s guitar work, always the centerpiece, now blazes with clarity. The solos soar, the riffs grind with more menace, and the atmospheric layers—especially on tracks like “Glory Ride”—feel broader and more cinematic.
