Released in 2022 via Roadrunner Records, Strength II… Deep Cuts isn’t just a leftover collection — it’s the darker twin to Strength. These tracks feel more nocturnal, more introspective, and in some ways more purely “Unto Others” than the main record.
Where Strength had arena-ready choruses, Deep Cuts leans further into mood. It’s colder. Sharper. More late-night city streets under sodium lights.

What Makes Deep Cuts Essential
I Am The Light opens with restrained melancholy before blooming into a chorus that feels almost romantic in its defiance. It’s goth metal with uplift buried inside the darkness.
Lost In The Name carries that classic 80s post-punk shimmer — you can hear echoes of The Sisters of Mercy in the atmosphere, but the riffing still nods to traditional metal lineage.
Fantasy is arguably one of the band’s most underrated songs. It has that dramatic sweep — the kind of track that would soundtrack a rain-soaked rooftop confrontation in a 1987 cult film.
The alternate versions strip things back slightly, revealing how tight the songwriting actually is. Without the full production weight, the melodies and vocal phrasing become even more pronounced.
