Fear Factory: Concrete (Remastered Silver & Purple ‘Decepticons’ Vinyl)

$80.99

Originally recorded in 1991 and long buried in legal limbo, Concrete is the missing link in the evolution of Fear Factory. Before the clinical precision of Soul of a New Machine and the cybernetic perfection of Demanufacture, there was this — raw, mechanical, violent. The riffs are thicker, the production more organic, and the band still halfway between death metal brutality and the industrial discipline they would soon weaponize.

The remastered edition sharpens the low end and gives Dino Cazares’ guitar tone the grind it always deserved. Burton C. Bell’s vocals feel less processed than later releases — more human, more feral — while Raymond Herrera’s drumming already hints at the piston-like double-kick patterns that would define their sound. You can hear the band discovering its identity in real time.

The Silver & Purple “Decepticons” pressing is a perfect aesthetic match — cold chrome meets bruised neon, like circuitry sparking under pressure. It feels industrial, metallic, futuristic — exactly how early Fear Factory should look spinning on a turntable.
