RUE MORGUE RECORDS is now 2 years old. Wow! Where did the time go? I can safely say that it has been one of the busiest and all-encompassing ventures of my entire life but two years in, I freaking love every single minute of it all.
We have released 10 seven inch vinyl singles in that time frame so we are averaging 5 records per year. Not bad at all. We will also be releasing 2 full length LPs between now and the end of the year and another in the works. We will be looking at doing more 12″ vinyl records throughout 2021.
We will also have our 1st Podcast Episode Speak Of The Devil which will launch a couple of days before Murders In The Rue Morgue Vol 1 gets sent out.
Everything is going great guns. The store is absolutely thriving and we are in a position to purchase more and more stock with each and every passing month.
The label is also doing some amazing things with distribution in Japan and Europe for our forthcoming artists.
The word is spreading and through our strong relationships with our customers, our suppliers, our fans and supporters, RUE MORGUE RECORDS is becoming a fantastic venture to work on.
I cannot wait for all our loyal customers to receive their copy of the annual compilation LP. It is a work of art and the attention to detail from the gatefold cover, to the inner sleeve, to the inserts and other surprises… this will be the best local product many of you will have ever seen. I personally guarantee that. You will be blown away!
