Hello friends, It’s hard to fully express what it feels like to finally bring a massive project like Spankmag to its conclusion. I knew from the start it would be a huge task — but I didn’t expect it to stretch across three long years. That part’s on me. We bit off more than we should have, juggling too many projects at once, and delays were inevitable. That said, for a small, fiercely independent label like Rue Morgue Records, the fact that we’ve released nearly 30 vinyl projects over the past seven years? That’s no small feat. That’s massive. The records arrived today and I felt quite emotional opening the boxes and seeing the final result in my hands. They turned out amazing and I am so proud of all the hard work that went into them. Man, I am stoked! All the orders will be packed as you are reading this and they will begin delivering to you all tomorrow. I would be honoured to hear your thoughts on the vinyl when you receive yours. Actually, no, is is more than mega - it is a defining moment for Rue Morgue Records and one of our best releases. The Australian Punk Rock scene is incredible! I only just dipped my toes in these waters but what I found were some of the nicest, professional and amazing young bands who permeate these vinyl grooves with their killer tracks. Yeah I am biased, but this is a damn fine slab of Punk goodness. The last one just came off the press and these are on the way to us and soon on their way to our mega customers!
