The Label

Rue Morgue Records is 50% an online record store (physical location opening in 2026) and 50% an independent record label catering to Australian Hard Rock, Metal and Punk artists.

The label was born in December of 2018 and since that day we have gone on to release –  twelve 7″ vinyl singles, and thirteen 12″ vinyl albums. There a bunch in the pre-production stage which we are currently working on as well.

We spare no expense when creating our records and work alongside one of the best pressing plants in the Southern Hemisphere. We have created coloured vinyl releases, picture discs all with amazing packaging and attention to detail.

We only work with Australian artists as the rest of the world largely ignores the incredible talent we have here so we are here to lend a hand and get these artists heard on a grand scale! Sorry, international bands – we cannot assist you at this stage.

The bottom line is and always will be, to release the best product we can from incredible unsigned bands that deserve a shot and getting their music out to the masses!

We selectively pick and choose who we work with as we want the best bands to be representative of the Rue Morgue Records brand. We do not finance or bank roll your music, that is up to you. But we are here to assist, guide, nurture and handle all the nitty gritty in getting your music on vinyl, CD and digital streams.
